TRAINING ORIENTATION AND APPROACH
FOR PHYSICIAN MEMBERS

Initial Orientation Day, 2020

 

The DSP College of Sacred Surgeons will conduct bi-annual orientations for Physician Members interested in learning about DSP College of Sacred Surgeons’ Training Programs for Physician Members. These future presentations will cover requisites to apply, tuition, training tracks and levels to advance towards Board Certification. Fee for orientation is waived for Physician Members. The orientation will be followed by a Q&A with the faculty and staff. This orientation is a requisite for all Physician Members interested in applying to participate in training programs in development.

APPROACH TO TRAINING
During the orientation, potential applicants will be briefed on DSP College of Sacred Surgeons’ four-fold approach to training:

Intellectual — Explore the history, theories of mechanism, and current research in the emerging field of Spiritually-Based Interventions.
Experiential — Learn advanced Spiritually-Based Practices with the College’s world-renowned faculty.
Observational — Observation of the delivery of advanced Spiritually-Based Interventions. This represents a critical stage in practitioner development where students advance from believing to knowing through firsthand observation.
Application — Apply Spiritually-Based Interventions in the clinic under the supervision of Board Certified faculty.

These future presentations will cover requisites to apply, tuition, training tracks and levels to advance towards Board Certification. Fee for orientation is waived for Chaplain Members. The orientation will be followed by a Q&A with the faculty and staff. This orientation is a requisite for all Chaplain Members interested in applying to participate in training programs in development.
